Team Immunity heads to China for WCA 2016 World Finals

Team Immunity’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster will be heading to China this weekend, as they compete in the World Cyber Arena 2016 World Finals.

Immunity will be one of ten teams competing in the World Finals, and the only team representing Australia, after placing first in the Southeast Asian Qualifier earlier this year.

Led by captain James ‘JAMES’ Quinn, the roster brings their two latest additions – Mohammed ‘moeycQ’ Tizani (whom was also a previous member of the Team Immunity squad), and new recruit Erka ‘erkaSt’ Gantulga. The remaining two players will be Cal ‘bURNRUOk’ Henderson, and Sean ‘Gratisfaction’ Kaiwai. With the addition of two new members, Gareth ‘gazR’ Lynn will now be acting as team coach.

Immunity find themselves in a group alongside Chinese powerhouses TyLoo Gaming and VG.CyberZen, as well as Brazillian team g3nerationX and Chinese Wild Card entrants EDward Gaming.

With a prize pool of ¥1,350,000 CNY (approx. $260,000 AUD) up for grabs, Immunity will be giving it their all in what will be the biggest tournament in the current roster’s history.

The tournament will commence on December 9, and progress through until December 11. Games will be held at the Ningxia Coliseum in Yinchuan, China.

We wish the boys all the best as they embark on their journey to China, and hope that they can take back gold for the OCE region.
